We had a really cool and unique opportunity to spend a weekend in Portland this past Summer for my cousin’s wedding! We took their wedding photos and reconnected with some family I hadn’t seen in years! It was an awesome weekend, one that I won’t soon forget. While we weren’t at the wedding we did some awesome things! I wrote a full post about where we ate because the food in Portland was THAT good and deserved it’s own post!
We landed and just explored and drove around the city! Found some good pizza, and got me some ice cream too! Portland is a really vibrant city and everyone that is there seems to be pretty happy about it.
We woke up early and headed to Silver Falls to shoot the prettiest bridal session I could imagine in the forests of Oregon. Bailey was a total vision as a bride and I loved getting to know Devon and his mom as well! We had an awesome and pretty morning following these love birds around. This was a pretty easy hike/walk and I think a lot of people could do it. The drive took about an hour each way but was super gorgeous the entire time. Definitely worth the trip!
We drove back to the city and ate really, really good that day! And took a nap because we had to wake up pretty early to get some good photos!
We had a few hours before the wedding was happening, so we went up to the Columbia River Gorge to do a little hike and see some awesome scenery and waterfalls. PS that picture of me alone on the bridge is photoshopped, it was pretty packed! But I wanted to try and see if I could edit it as such!
In between the ceremony and reception we walked around downtown for a little bit. It was Saturday in the middle of the day and it wasn’t very busy! And it was super clean. I loved that about Portland.
