The Colors:

Purple and Yellow

Is there a happier combination than purple and yellow? I just can’t think of one! I used to live really close to this purple wall, and have basically always wanted to take pictures in front of it. But never really got the chance with any of my clients! Yellow sends a pretty clear message, refreshed, joyous, and optimism. Yellow is such a happy color! And purple is all about romance, introspection, power, and creativity! Rachael and her business could easily be described as all of those things. She helps so many women feel refreshed, happy, and powerful! Not only her clients but all of her employee’s as well.

The Business:

Utah Lash Effect

Rachael owns Lash Effect— Davis County’s finest destination for eyelash extensions! They offer spray tans, microblading, waxing, electrolysis, permanent makeup, and gel nails! I personally have gotten so many of their services done and have loved every single one. Rachael is a master esthetician and saw the need for a high end salon in Davis County. She worked for years at another salon further south and decided she was ready to take this on! They had their grand opening in 2015 and she hasn’t looked back!

The Entrepreneur:

Rachael Balderston

Rachael is one BOSS lady. Seriously. She is sweet and fun and so good at what she does. Rachael works so hard and is really in it to win it. She doesn’t get caught up in stuff that doesn’t matter! I’ve known her since junior high, although we didn’t really become good friends until she opened up shop, and it’s been so fun to grow up watching each other throughout life and support each other through starting businesses.

I asked Rachael what she wish she knew when she started her business, she said,

“You don’t need to spend money on stuff that doesn’t matter. I spent too much money on things like shelves, when I could have saved that money and made it go further in a different way. And always be careful on who you hire, make sure they are a good fit for both you and them, you’ll both be happier!”
