Ok remember my crazy graduation story? How I walked and got my diploma and then went straight to the airport?? Haha! Well here’s the first day of our amazing trip to Maui! We arrived late Friday night–like 9:30 pm their time, so 1:30 am our time. I basically had two hours of sleep so we were dead! We decided the first night we didn’t want to pay for the car an extra day just to park it for a few hours. So since we got in late we just got a decent priced hotel near the airport and paid for a cab to get there. We liked the Maui Beach Hotel for what it was, just a cheap place to stay for one night near the airport with a shuttle to get our car.
Ok so the rest of the week we really wanted to stay in a condo on our stay because we could split it with Dave’s sister and her husband, Meg and Nick! And we could cook and have a cheaper stay. We heard good things about the neighborhood, Kihei! We got on VRBO and found a good little condo we liked a lot! It was seriously perfect for the four of us!
Want to know the best way to fly in Economy? Upgrade to economy comfort where you have more leg room and book the aisle and window, and hope and pray that no one books the middle seat! It really wasn’t a bad flight!Flying over Seattle! So gorgeous! So Saturday we slept in as long as we could. For me that can be pretty late, it was like 10 am and by the time I woke up everyone had already been up, Dave had gone to get the car, and they were ready to eat and start! The beach by our hotel was little but super pretty!
We went and got some breakfast then went to the swap meet! It was only like .50 cents to get in and we all loved it!Homemade popsicles! I absolutely love coconut and lime separately, so when they were mixed together I was in heaven!
We went shopping at Costco for most of our food and then at Target for a few things we didn’t want in bulk. It was perfect to do it Saturday because those stores are up near the airport. Had to get a picture with this little headband for my graduation trip ;)
Driving to our condo!
Once we checked in to our place we all just needed another little rest haha! That night we found a really yummy pizza place, Pizza Madness, in Kihei we all liked–and Dave LOVED!
Stay tuned for the rest of our trip!!!
