What to do in Downtown Nassau
Downtown Nassau is simply… cute! Everywhere I turned, it was so adorable! It’s definitely a tourist trap, don’t be fooled! But wandering up and down the streets by the cruise port was really fun. The buildings are cute! We parked just up from the port and then walked around for a couple of hours. Make sure to walk by Parliament Square! It was my favorite building. Pink, with green shutters, are you kidding me?
There is a lot of shopping you can do as well as bargaining in some shops, too. The Straw Market was really cool, but such a mess, haha! So if you’re afraid of that, you should steer clear. But it’s got a lot of tiny shops with locals selling trinkets that you can barter down the price of. I always like to go to little places like that! There is also some duty-free shopping you can do, I got this cute little Alex and Ani bracelet to remember our time in paradise!
A little further from downtown Nassau we at Frankie Gone Bananas, Twin Brothers Restaurant. They both had really good Bahamian food and the atmosphere was really fun in that part of town with live music and fresh fruit smoothies all over the place.
Pretty! This was an incredibly wonderful post. Thank you for providing these details. Benni Kendrick Ayn
